Nails of the Week-Flamin' Hot
These nails were inspired by the ridic coldness that we have been experiencing this week in England... i just new last months sunny spells were to be replaced by April showers. Hosepipe ban? Anyway I really liked this colour combo and it was supa easy, all you need to do is paint your nails grey ( I can never find the right shade this one is tad too dark) then paint on with a nail art brush white flames and then do yellow ones on top so that the white looks like an outline.

Nails of the Week- YOLO
Sooooooo, you only live once and I found this amaze picture on a beaut tumblr called denOFopulence which is just full of really cute/funny/beautiful pictures which kinda are stunning.
so having been loving Drake recently since I became cool this photo just really caught my attention and makes good nails because it had 4 letters
And these are the nails, I kinda took a took the suggestion of flowers as I just used a sponge to stipple on different shades of pink but I think you get the idea.
And I used a shimmery white rather than black for the words so they weren't too out there!!

Upload-a-thon!!
Apologies for the lack of posts late, I have been on break from uni and at home I just get nothing done. So here are some of the nails that I did over the last month, well the ones that I remembered to photograph anyway. I think part of the problem was that I was lacking in ideas as well but I feel renewed and hopefully will come up with some amaze summery nails for the coming months. P.S. Sorry for the poor quality of the photos my camera was indisposed so i had to use my Blackberry which as anyone who's got one know knows take awful pictures.
These were just a really cool twist on my usual leopard print or the ones with a stripe that I did before, by putting the V-shaped smile lines in it makes the nails look really pointed which is a really modern shape for nails this season.
These were crazy neon but also quite cool!!!
These were inspired by this liberty print but unfortunately you cant really see the detail, to get the fine lines perfect I did the red first and then the pink on top as I knew that I would never get the red line thin enough with a brush.

Nails of the Week-Groovy Grunge
These nails were born form a lack of inspiration, I just ended up layering different colours because I couldn't decide and I realised that a good effect could be had by layering up the colours and then removing some to reveal the layers.
Here's How To:
1. Paint nails a with a good basecoat and a dark colour like a black (a very dark brown would be excellent here but I don't have one so I use black). Wait for it to dry COMPLETELY
2. With a nail art brush (like one with a square tip) paint on very roughly and streakily both a dark blue and a brown colour over different parts of each nail.
3. Paint using the nails art brush the entire nail with a pale minty green
4. Over different sections of the nail paint pinks and purples, again not being perfect AT ALL!!
5. Dip your nail art brush in polish remover and brush over the nails in different areas to expose the layers, it works best if you do it in downward stripes. Try to show all the colours, the more you apply remover the more polish will come off so vary the pressure you apply and be sure not to remover the colour all the way off to your bare nails!
5. Apply a topcoat and if you can streak the polish even more for that distressed look.

Nails of Last Week- Spring
This is late because I lost the lead to connect my camera to my laptop... ooooops!! these pretty florals are beaut!!!
Difficulty: 5/10
P.S. I also did my sisters nails (she is 6) in a more vintage-y floral to match her dress for a wedding we went to. Here they are
They are very sketchy because it is very heard to get a 6 year old to stay still for more than 5 mins!!

Pink Friday-Gel manicure
this week, on Thursday I got a gel manicure, like shellac, the results are amaze and I was pleased to learn that I could pain my own polish on top. They should last about two weeks which is great because I am going to a wedding next week and the nude colour I picked will be nice and classy, because my dress is bright pink!!!
this is what they looked like when I left the salon...

TIP: The more neon the block colour side, the better!!!
this is what they looked like when I left the salon...
Tried to get a good shot in different lights, the only problem that was my nails were such a wreck (they looked like I had clawed my way out of my own grave!!) so they had to be cut really short. Oh well, hopefully they will grow stronger and longer because of the gel.
Anyway to fit Pink Friday, and hopefully make my nails look longer I did they leopard with the pink stripe across one side, vertical stripes are lengthening. These really should be called Cece nails as they are her fave.

Nails of the week-Fleuralicious
As you may remember a few weeks ago I posted about my nail flowers which are just darling... and very easy to use I just stuck them on using my topcoat. Buy them here. All of my friends absolutely loved these and said they were the best I ever did, I didn't really know how to take this seeing as these were lemon squeezy and I usually spend ages on my nails? Maybs I should give up?
Sorry for the chippedness I didn't get to photograph these until I was taking them off!!

Nails of the Week- Springalicious
Ohh bananas it's been a long time I think I forgot how to spell -alicious!!! This week I did these cute blue roses, flowers things. Very pretty, not easy though but I love the colours, muted but still appropriate for the beaut weather that we are experiencing this weekend. I did the black outline first, then filled in the blue, obvs any colour combo would be lovely I just liked these because they were different.
They looked better once I had put the topcoat on them, for some reason I just forgot whilst I was taking the photo.

Pink Friday-Stink Friday
Couldn't think of any pink patterns yesterday for Pink Friday... tears!! But I did use this crème de bananas colour from models own called Bubblegum Pink, a better name would be neon pink or I need my sunglasses to look at my nails pink!!! hahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahhhahaaaaa the craziest colour I have worn on my fingers since when I tried to wear yellow. This looked good though it was great for clubbing because no one lost me I just held my hand up and my friends could spot me across the crowded dance floor in the dark!!!!
Models own are an amaze brand which do an unbelievable amount of shades in really on trend colours. This photo though makes me laugh because it does not express just how neon my nails were!!!

Fashion Inspired- Prabal Gurung
These images from the Prabal Gurung S/S 2012 show were so beaut I just knew that they would look great on my fingerlings. I looked at the images and came up with this look including a new technique for me marbling, (without water).
Technique
1. Paint nails with a basecoat
2. Paint nails with one very thin coat of white polish
3. Paint a second very thick watery coat of white polish, and very quickly add a few small drops of dark and light purple to each side of the nail in inwardly pointing triangle shapes.
4. Using a cocktail stick or a pin quickly swirl the colours together, but not too much so that colours remain separate, (you don't want to mix them into one colour).
5. Paint on the Purple and black triangles using a fine brush or a nail art pen.
6. Topcoat.
This sounds complicated but it isn't really, you will have more time than you think to play with the swirls as long as you paint a thick enough base colour on. You could even so this all over the nail or maybe as a gradient from the tip up. It goes without saying that you could use whichever colours you wanted but I wanted to create this Prabal Gurung look so I used his colours.

Arrrgh- Nails Fail- Miu Miu
Ewwwww!!! These nails looked like pokemons... these lovely miu miu bags. They are not exactly my taste but I thought they would translate really well into nails....this is what they were 'sposed to look like... (the yellow one obs.)
This is what they actually looked like...
See I only got half-way through one hand and had to give up... sometimes its best not to continue. I think that if I had chosen the pinks instead it would have been fine, but TBH I am too pale to wear yellow but hey just really like jumped out at me in the photo...? Oh well!!!
Pink Friday- Tigerlicious...!!
My love of all big cats and jewellery with big cats on inspired this very cool tiger print look this week. I loved it but for some reason it really chipped!!!! Sooooooooo annoying... oh well it gave me a n excuse to do another look very soon. To do this I used a very fine artists brush but a nail art pen would be fine, the stripes were ridic easy but the tiger on the middle finger took a lot of time and concentration, I wanted it to look like a tiger brooch or something not an actual tiger so I had to do lots of shading with golds.

Nails News...! Flowerlicious
A complete find lead me to these beaut nail flowers, which are tiny nail flowers dyed bright colours intended for nail art!! Genious!!! I will do a look with these sooooooon!!!.
Nails of the week- El Salonisto Inspired
Easy as this week, although I don't take credit for the design which comes from http://elsalonsito.com/. On this site there is also a fantastic photo tutorial although this is extremely simple and doesn't require any skill or special tools!! I mixed mine up a bit by adding the half moons at the top but they could be left out if desired.

Nails of the Week- Galaxy Nails
These too are seen on many nails blogs and sites and have been done in a variety of ways by many people, but to me these are the most realistic looking style and they create a look which is very simple but effective.
1. Paint nails a dark colour, I have used a deep, deep blue, almost black but black will work, as will purple.
2. Using a piece of a make-up sponge, torn off and held between tweezers, dab on in streaks a brighter blue a pinky purple, and a pale yellow, make sure these colours are all very close together as if part of the same ermmm nebula?
3. Dot on using a toothpick white dots to form stars, make some bigger and some smaller.
4. Topcoat.
