The colour I loved and used the most this month was by far Barry M's Strawberry Ice Cream (309) which I used in nearly every look that I did this month. I have used this colour for many years, this is probs my 3rd bottle, it is quite a basic colour, but I like the translucency of this on which makes it very glossy.

Nails of the Week- Floral not my Fave
Urgh, these didn't really seem to go right for me, they just took ages and I am not pleased with the results, which remind me of William Morris wallpaper which reminds me of school trips to the V and A Museum. i just wanted to do something spring like, but its freezing here so it seems premature. Ohh well.

Pink Friday- Twit twoo
Browsing on-line today, I saw this really cute t-shits from New Look which I totes would have bought if they'd had my size... what a let down! but it inspired me to do these cute pink owl nails, which again have become something of a trend on the on-line nail art community. So this is my take, I kept it simple although I really like them and so I will probs do these again at some other time with different colours, maybe like night time blues because... well owls are nocturnal!
These were basically a pink background with a dark grey used for the lines etc. although I did paint the index finger a shimmery pink and some of the hearts have glitter on them.

Nails of the Week- Please don't let it snow!!!
ARRRRG! A word about the title, I hate snow, well... I like snow, but I hate the consequences of snow (Read: I get cold) of so when people tell me that it might snow in Brighton, I have a nervy B. So I am offering the sacrifice of this blog post title in the hope that the gods of cuticles will have mercy on me and get on at their friends in the weather dept.
Let's get back to bussssinessss! These took a while, I will admit, an evening dedicated to my lovely flat 46 ladies and to fraping Bianca and Cece. But it was simple when you break it down.
1. Paint nails white- there really is no other option here I was coping some wallpaper, that we have in the kitchen.(ohhh but you should do a base coat obvs)
2. Using a large dotting tool place pale violet dots all over all of your nail. they do not have to be perfect.
3. Using an artist brush, paint on the flowers in bright pink (my fave part..!) these again do not need to be perfect as no one will look really closely, they will see the print as a whole.
4. Using a dark purpley grey, I mixed this DO NOT use black, draw some squiggles on the petals to distinguish the leaves, again not perfect. Also it's nice to have leaves too.
5. Topcoatalicious!
Difficulty: I want to about 6/10 but because of the tool sitch I need to say about 8/10

Nails of the Week- Unicorns Cheer Me Up
Got the January/Monday blues today, so what better to cheer me up than UNICORNS and GLITTER!!!!!
This however, requires the special skills of a unicorn lover and the fairies watching over me as I paint with a tiny brush a unicorn which looks like a weird dog with a baby arm. Yes these didn't go very well, hence I only kept them on for one day but it is the thought that counts...!

Pink Friday!- Aztechno
As I trawl the internet looking for inspiration for my digies I have seen these, or something like these many times but I was scared to attempt them as looked really complicated and difficult, but I am pleased to declare that their bark is worse than their bite, if that phrase can be applied here? No, honestly they took a long time because of all the different shapes and colours but that really is all there is to them, just shapes. I really like them and they are pink!
Love this, will deffo do again!! Only thing is you really need a tool, a long haired brush is the only real option, to get straight even thickness lines.

Pink Friday- Besame
I really need to change the title of this because I always do more than one set of nails per week. But nevertheless these are the nails I did today as I was feeling low at the end of the week so I did these pink, girly nails. they took a freaking age though because I kept smudging them but I really like them anyways. There are really two designs here the stars and the lips, I like them both separately or on their own but I decided to combine them today because... variety is the spice of life. I don't really think there needs to be a step by step guide here, it pretty much was just drawing on the patterns.
Also, appologies for the state of my cuticles, it is very cold here and the heating is hot in my flat so it dries my skin out, especially on my hands.

Doing Bianca's nails
I have to be honest guys despite the four posts in the same day these were done over the week but I didn't have time to post 'til today, so.... Here are Bianca's nails. These are so pretty and suit Bianca to a T. They remind me of Spring and also Daisy by Marc Jacobs perfume. They were also super easy!!! Just paint on the base colour and then added the white and pink flowers with a gold dot in the centre, the accent ring finger was just painted with a pale pink and then I pressed a craft glitter into it when wet. I didn't even use any tools, just the brush which comes with the nail polish.

Nails of the Week-Featherlicious
Very excited about these ones, after about a week and a half of not really knowing what, I suddenly got a flash of inspiration from I don't know where and I came up with these. They are a lovely pink, which is always cheery on a Wednesday and I love the feathers which are very... unique, I think. This is how I did them....
1. Paint nails base colour (I chose an orangey pink)
2. Paint on the feathers, you could use white or I used a pale cream which I mixed using brown and white and yellow, dot them on using an artist brush.
3. On the index finger I did the same only I added the white background to look like a wing beneath the cream.
4. I then did the Black and then a gold dot in the centre. to make the index finger look more together I also outlines the wing using the gold. All of this was done using the artists brush.

Nails of the Week- Chic Aztec
This was an odd one this week, which really needs a bit of a story to explain but I don't want to bore you so will just say that these just kind of happened. I am not sure if I like all the variations but I do love that they all different which I think makes it quite quirky. Well I like them, the colour combinations especially, and I think I will take the v shaped french manicure reverse ones and do them again. These were also very easy, although I did have to use tape to get the lines straight.
Apologies for the poor picture quality, I forgot to photograph these until when I was out on Monday night, so I took the photos with my phone so the quality is not so good but luckily these are not especially detailed so it doesn't matter.

Doing Emily's Nails
As you can see from the title, I did Emily's (my flatmate at uni) nails. These are really fun and summery which cheered us up in the grey January weather. they also look a bit 70s which is cool if ya like that.
I started off with emily's already orange nails to which I added the white flowers. Each flower also has a pale pink centre which doesn't really show up in the photos though. i then added the black details.

Colour of the Month-December
'Tis the season, okay, t'was the season to be jolly and nothing is more festive than a good red. The colour I wore most this month was 030 Double decker Red by Rimmel London. I couldn't find a link though to this product on the Rimmel London website. I love this red because the colour is very strong and bright and it is the perfect christmas red, as it is orange toned. It is what I have used in the leopard nails, the noel nails and the snowflake nails, although the colour does not show up so well on camera, so I will have to adjust the flash settings.

Nails of the Week- Puuuuuurfect Print!
These are my all time most favourite nail art and most requested when I do my friends nails, it is surprisingly easy but most people are really impressed with them and I get loads of comments too. So many people think that they are nail wraps but they're not...! I actually don't really like nail wraps because I can never put them on without creasing and then they are unconfortable. Anyways it is easy and much cheaper to do it yourself.
1. Paint your nails with a base coat and then two coats of whatever you want the background colour to be, I chose a Bright red (the colour of the pic is not very true to life, they are really much deeper and more of an orange toned red)
2. Draw blobs of various roundish shapes onto your nails. The sizes may vary and depending on the length of your nails you may get between 4-10 blobs on there, just make sure there is a good space all around and between them because they will need to be outlined.
NB the colour combinations in this look are endless, this was the first time that I used these colours, I usually do a pale nude base coat with a coral spot, but I always do a black outline, however, I have done mint green and purple together, different shades of blue, yellow and pink and the more realistic browns and creams of a real leopard. Go wild with it!
3. With a very fine artist brush or a cocktail stick start to do the black squiggles, it helps to look at real print to get the right idea. I tend to do lines all around the pink blob, leaving gaps at random intervals and varying the thickness of the lines at different points too (It sounds difficult but keep practising and you will know what I'm talking about). Also if you have any large gaps between the spots I like to do black squiggles there to to fill up any empty spaces.
4. Top Coat.
